Effective 2026
RightOps Free Privacy Policy
RightOps Free is developed by MSK Development LLC and is designed primarily as a local Windows utility.
1. Local Processing
RightOps performs its current file, folder, shell, hashing, certificate, and administrative operations locally on your Windows computer.
2. Settings
RightOps stores application settings locally on your computer. These settings may include:
- Enabled and disabled tools
- Tool display order
- Startup preferences
3. Diagnostic Logging
RightOps maintains local diagnostic logs to assist with troubleshooting.
Logs may contain:
- Date and time
- RightOps action performed
- File or folder path involved
- Whether the action succeeded or failed
- Error information associated with a failed action
These logs are stored locally under the user's Windows profile.
RightOps is not designed to record passwords or Windows credentials in these logs.
4. Data Transmission
The current version of RightOps Free does not intentionally transmit its local diagnostic logs, file information, file hashes, or application settings to MSK Development LLC.
5. File Contents
Some RightOps tools read local files or file metadata when necessary to perform the requested operation.
For example, calculating a SHA-256 hash requires reading the selected file. This processing occurs locally.
6. Windows Features
Certain RightOps functions interact with Windows components such as User Account Control, PowerShell, Command Prompt, Windows credentials, File Explorer, and digital certificate services.
Those Windows components may operate according to Microsoft's own policies and system configuration.
7. Future Features
Future versions of RightOps may introduce optional online functionality. If data collection or transmission practices materially change, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
8. Contact
Privacy questions may be directed to MSK Development LLC through the official RightOps or MSK Development support channels.
